Playing cassette tapes on ZX Spectrum + 3 Hi to all Could anyone confirm can you connect a tape player and play the casette games on it ? ? I think you can but are not to sure Thanks
You need a stereo jack 2-to-1 plug. Plug the speccy 48 leads into the 2-side and the 1-side into the +3. It doesn't work without this. -

It would have to have two mono sockets to one stereo plug. Two stereo sockets with a mono plug inserted will damage the spectrum. I would recommend getting a stereo plug to two phono plugs cable and a couple of phono socket/mono jack plug adapters. -

If the temperature cycling is the culprit then how about if I insulate the header strip?
