Yes - I'd go with that Balford. A very fine brush and either enamel paint or acrylic for the ZX81 - available from pretty much every model shop. Of course, acrylic has the advantage of being water soluble. -

With care, masking tape and a fine brush you could fix the damage using Humbrol paints made for modellers assuming its still available. You might try acrylic artists paint too, with care you could mix to get the same shade. -
