OctaMed made me switch to the Amiga in about 1994, when my brother bought a 3rd hand A500 off his mate. Eventually I got an A1200, so did my bro so I used to borrow his and have 2 Amigas to get 8 channels of top quality 8bit 22k samples going at once. -

If you think WMP 10 is annoying, switch to 11 and it gets worse. I now use Media Player Classic. Very basic, but works like a charm for videos. Not sure I'd want it for my main music player though.
