I have got a bit "stuck" on this with the navigational aspects of Spectaculator . (more work on this needed by me in order to progress!). I managed to get all sorts of "offbeat" irregular SZX or similar effects but not what I wanted to do. -

You could download one of the main PC Speccy emulators and create your own, Spin, Fuse, SpecEmu & Spud all can all write to the .szx format. -

Yes you need a laptop/desktop to transfer files to a micro sd card. The Vega supports .tap, .z80, and .szx file formats.
As for card capacity, it's seems to be compatible with most modern cards from 2GB to 128GB.
