Taper looks rather complicated and you need protected mode which will not run on my old PC...
I think I will mess around with Warajevo and the other small emulators listed in WOS.

New version of X128I think X128 is one of the best emulators in DOS. The last version is from 2002, I think. Will we see a new version in windows?
I was a big fan of X128. I think I might try and use it again with dosbox now. Dosbox probably isn't stable enough to work with TAPER, which is a real shame, as that was a great little utility. -

Tell them to use Z802TZX instead of TAPER to convert 128k snapshots to TZX files... it uses the same loader as TAPER but is bug-fixed...
Well, the loader is the same, but the conversion engine is written from scratch ;-)

I concur, Tapir is the Util for you :-). I use it all the time, though I still use Taper on occasion.
