    The first lot of releases for the C64 were a range of Cartrisge games by Commodore - Tooth Invaders, Wizard of Wor etc - They are copyrighted 1982.
    One of the final releases was Lemmings.

    Speccy wasn't popular in the US - I'm not in any way surprised that they would choose the C64 reference for a game set in the 80's.

    The latest issue of Edge magazine has an article on the Commodore 64 which says GGS was released for the C64 in Germany.

    The C64 and Amiga versions weren't as rare as they made out. At least you could get the cracked versions easy enough.

    The Speccy port has to be out there somewhere. Wasn't it supposed to be ported to the Amstrad too?

    Yeah... ALTERED BEAST was a fantasticly ambitious conversion, and although it was a tad clunky, it beat the C64 conversion into submission.
