    Much as I hate to admit it, the Commode version blew away the Speccy one. A flip screen horizontally scrolling shoot em up was not a good idea.

    It's THE Z80 book... although Toni Baker's Mastering Machine Code on your ZX Spectrum is the best one specific to the Spectrum.

    Thats a very good book but I consider Mastering Machine Code On Your ZX Spectrum by Toni Baker to be better. That was the book that made it all make sense to me.

    Also try Mastering Machine Code On Your ZX Spectrum by Toni Baker. I would say that and the William Tang book are the definitive books for learning MC on the Spectrum.
