    Did you klnow (or indeed care) - you can use the ZTX651 in place of the ZTX 650. Same spec, slightly higher voltage rating is all.

    Coils - easy to re-wind yourself if you know how.

    Well what connections are you missing? they are pretty standard parts. TV cable, AC adapter (you can use a generic one with the right voltage/ampage) and the joysticks (Ebay or junk shop).

    It's more than likely that the EHT is on it's way out, this unit provides the high voltage to the tube, the symptons you explain are common prior to the pin cushion effect taking place, followed by a slight short hiss and then a blank screen.

    You shouldnt have any problems making the video cable. For the power supply, you'll need a 9v @ 1A (or close to that) adapter. The voltage can vary upto about 13v and it will be fine.
