Open the case of your Spectrum and check the keyboard cables. Two flat cables must be connected to the mainboard. If this is okay, then you should check another keyboard. If it still fails, the ULA may be defect. -

I read. But I suspect that difference not in CPUs. Anyway it is ULA is responding for speed and contention (or to be more exact, CPU+ULA). Could be interesting how correctly to emulate megalomania in stable position. -
