I've seen new computers with motherboards, power supplies and hard drives that go bad within the first year, and old towers (IBM PC XT, AT, 486DX2, etc.) that have been working almost 24/7 since the late 20th century and still work just fine. :-o -

the motherboards in the 48k+ and the 48k rubbery are interchangeable, the power supplies are the same.
As Beccy says, the 48k+ is just a case upgrade. -
