But if I'm not mistaken, timings and port decoding are determined by how the FPGA is programmed, so a Pentagon 2.666 flashed with the Harlequin image would have true Spectrum timings, right? -

You could do Jarek's TC2144 mod on the TS2068 which would make it somewhat 128K compatible (with 128 BASIC, capable of running 128K games with AY sound). Not for the feint-hearted though. -
