    Another option is to replace the socket with an rj12. That would leave space for both the rs232 and the aux ports; plus the pinout order remains the same.

    As an additional note, depending on the server you're using you may need to forward ports 80 and 443 (I think) for webserver stuff. I think Apache requires both of those.

    the 128s all have 232 ports I think, the +3 certainly does.
    but as has been said in another thread, the plugs are hard to come by, or you can bodge one from a non obsolete type

    Surely if you use "standard" joysticks in a +2/+3 (i.e. the slots on the side), then they're no going to give the correct results as those ports have different pins outs? (the way I understand it)
