Whats wrong with my spectrum 48 kWhen i startup, instead of copyright messsage i get gray screen with black square in middle.
Mostly it is the ROM or ULA.
It can happen when you disconnect an interface without disconnecting power first. -

The ULA is making the picture. I'd suspect the ram is faulty. -
