I'm interested in converting Tap, TZX and possible SNA files to WAV in Java. Is there any freely available source code for such an operation, or if not can someone give me a pointer on how to get started developing this myself.

Anybody fancy writing a TZX to CSW converter which 'dirties' the file with copy noise and varying speed?!? The CSW files which haven't yet been TZXd are better 'cos they're more nostalgic of C90 tape to tape copies!

Check the above program out guys on the play store for android. Worked well for my +2! Volume seems good. Loaded many games from my Galaxy s3 phone.

I've been through the emulators and utilities section and none say explicitly that they can covert tzx to .wav.

For TAP/TZX to WAV, you can always use WinAmp using the TZX plugin and the WAV-out plugin (or was that diskwriter)....

Not sure if it does TAPs but it's easy to convert TAP to TZX anyway.

So you'd like to play them on a real ... eh? Well there is the TZX to WAV way of doing it, as ... , you can also play the tzx in an emulator and "feed ... " it through your PC to your Spectrum.
