    and most dinamic games (AMC1, AMC2, After the war, Navy moves, etc.) use 8 pixel scrolling.

    ... to write than a vertical scrolling routine, but would be harder ... speed.

    I think scrolling made some games worse - Cybernoid ... it had been done with scrolling it would have had to ... (unless it was character square scrolling) etc.

    ...and I've not noticed any scrolling problems. Mind you, I've mostly been trying stuff like Manic Miner, Jet Pac (ahem) and Exolon.

    But I did try that feast of 3D wonder, Micronaut One, and that ran fine. So scrolling should be cool.

    I've got to agree that Uridium on Spectrum is good, but not as good as C64. I've never had any problem with seeing the bullets or whatever else.

    It's okay to say that about Uridium, because the article is from a C64 perspective, and that's fair enough. It would be the same thing if a Spectrum owner did it, except it would be full of C64 disasters like Paperboy and Cobra etc etc.
