In 2 minds. Wrote a terrible golf game for US Gold on PS1 (and had to work very long hours and stuffs - they were only producing though I didn't work for them). Then after I left Ocean didn't offer me a job after an interview.

What about games released by US Gold but programmed by Ocean (e.g. Bruce Lee)? :razz: (See how 'useful' these best-this-and-best-that polls are ;))

Ocean for me. US Gold released some good games too but their Capcom conversions often left a lot to be desired. I appreciate that is down to Tiertex more than anyone but it's still a US Gold game.

Ocean by a mile. US Gold always seemed very weak to me. Tapper and Impossible Mission being delightful exceptions.

Clearly Ocean for Spectrum, but when talking about the 'other' machine, it's more of a contest and quite likely US Gold would pip it. BTW; are post-Ocean acquisition Imagine games to be counted as Ocean too in this poll?

Ocean, although US Gold weren't half as terrible as people make out... just a bit hit and miss when it came to quality control. And Ocean released some duds too... Highlander anyone?

Ocean, definitely, but US Gold did some good games, like The Dam Busters, Gauntlet, Spy Hunter, Out Run, ...

I liked US Gold but feel Ocean released more games that i liked such as Op Wolf, Cabal, Rambo, Where time stood still, the great escape, Midnight resistance and Space Gun (yes i even liked that!).

Did US Gold release any original games?

From what I can make out all their releases were conversions of coin-op or US titles that were largely programmed by Ocean.

Most of them Allessandro are US releases (Epyx, Datasoft, Access etc) ... in the UK by US Gold.
