In my eyes I always thought Omega Race on the VIC was a very good version -

Jetpac is a good version, one of the more technically advanced VIC games.
AVENGER and GORF are decent cartridge games.
Jeff Minter's stuff ain't bad either.. MATRIX, GRIDRUNNER etc. -

The VIC and C64 both use the same tape deck. It is the beige coloured one, there are broadly 2 designs but if it's beige it should work.
