    The whole point of the heatsink is to keep the voltage regulator cool (just like the much smaller heatsink inside the 48K machine). Without it, the 7805 should go down the drain pretty fast.

    I think pin 6 is the composite signal output. If there is a low voltage signal there then its dead. Its about 3.5V with the menu screen on.

    Sounds like the RGB signals are working. You have probably not connected the 12V signal at the RGB port to pin 8 on the scart socket. This is needed to switch RGB input on. Try checking the voltage on pin 6 of TEA2000 to see if its dead.

    Did you klnow (or indeed care) - you can use the ZTX651 in place of the ZTX 650. Same spec, slightly higher voltage rating is all.

    Coils - easy to re-wind yourself if you know how.

    Well what connections are you missing? they are pretty standard parts. TV cable, AC adapter (you can use a generic one with the right voltage/ampage) and the joysticks (Ebay or junk shop).
