The 128 really was a cheap rush-job. Had Sinclair Research not been going through severe financial problems, I'm sure they would have spent time adding a new clash-free graphics mode, even if they only kept the 16-colour palette. -

IIRC the din is the same as an old Keyboard plug, though I may be wrong, I just found one in the bits box ;-)
I'll have a look at my notes and bit's of cable when I get home, and I could work out the voltages off my +3 PSU if you need them -
