You could also look at ZX PaintBrush for graphics & Vortex Tracker for PT3 (AY) music creation, both are Windows programs... For quick and dirty assembly routine testing and writing, Id also recommend EmuZWin too, for its built in Assembler... -

Vortex isn't as good as real Spectrum trackers. Especially Pro Tracker. It has many great possibilities and cool effects.
You can use it with Z80Stealth emul, as it has ideal AY/YM emulation.
