I ordered Wizard's Lair and it arrived yesterday. The loading scheme is exactly as described above. Basically, it's a faster version of the 'normal' or Starquake loader.

Steve Crow's games had the best beeper sound effects for me.
Going in a wardrobe lift in Wizard's Lair sounds great in that same way as going through a security door in Starquake does (like Paul says).

Wizard's Lair was good, but Starquake was one of my fave games. Firelord was damn good too. Steve Crow, in my books, is a legend!
