ZX32 served me well once v2 had come out, and I could use the full screen without those irritating fake scan lines.
Before that I used X128, and I still do when TR-DOS disks are involved. -

Strange. I once did that as a test, and all the converted files loaded perfectly on X128, Real Spectrum and R80. Try one of these emulators, and/or change the conversion settings in Taper. -
