Yes, Art Studio, Deluxe Paint or similar Spectrum art packages are excellent, I used them a few years ago. Now I use BMP2SCR paint module, but it will not work on your machine because of too low specs. -

I only know of the AMX and Kempston mice for the Spectrum, neither of them had fantastic support, I only wanted mine back then for use with Art Studio.

Seldom. Once in a while I load some of my favorite games in MacFuse just for the sake of pure nostalgia.

Other very good cross-assemblers are AS80, ZMAC and Z80ASM (from Z88DK), and the last two are open source. -
