You can try Alsa or sdl audio driver in ZEsarUX. Run ZEsarUX from a terminal with:
zesarux --help

With it I can see which audio drivers are compiled

Ok. Can you run ZEsarUX from a command line console (cmd.exe) with option:
zesarux.exe --verbose 4
And look at console messages when audio sounds bad. Maybe it gives me a clue of what is happening

Interesting though, Unreal speccy makes a flickery mess of Ghosts and goblins in the same way zesarux does. Fuse handles it perfectly. So still haven't quite found nirvana!
