I thought you needed an IF2 to plug in a ZX Printer. I thought the IF1 had a standard ZX edge connector rather than a ZX81 edge connector. The ROM in the IF1 is irrelevant as the printer routines are in the Spectrum ROM. -

ZXSpin emulates the ZX Printer, so you can print to that. It produces a continuous graphic (gets longer as you print) which can then be fed directly from ZXSpin to your printer using the printer dialog.
