Although not real ZX hardware I think you have to go a long way to beat ZXDS running on a Nintendo DSi XL. It really is the ulimate portable Spectrum for me.

I play all my speccy games on my DS. ZXDS really is excellent and awkward controls are no longer a problem as you can map them to the d-pad and buttons. No more up to jump for me! -
