ÿþVENTURE ======= Written by G. Bobker Load and run by typing LOAD "venture" or LOAD "". If you have any problems with tape loading, consult pages 141-148 of the Sinclair ZX Spectrum Handbook. When the first section of the program has loaded, stop the tape but do not rewind it, as the second section of games follows on from the end of the first, and leaving your tape at this point will ensure that you load the second section quickly when you finish the first games. SECTION 1 --------- When the program runs you will be given your starting cash of £1,000 and the rules. Press the "S" key to begin. Racing ------ Which duck will win? Choose duck 1, 2 or 3 and watch them race! Fruit Machine ------------- You have 10 goes to win over £999. Winning scores are shown as you play - good Juck! Press "S" to Start. Watch the figures run and stop by pressing "S". If the three numbers form one of the five winning combinations, you're in the money! Treasure Hunt ------------- When you start, the rules are explained and the area where the treasure is buried is shown. Indicate where you want to dig using a letter and a number. You will be given clues to help you! Good hunting. Mastercode ---------- You have twelve shots to deduce the four digit code the computer has set for you. The number in the R column tells the number of digits in the correct position, the number in the W position tells the number of correct digits that are in the wrong position. Good thinking! At the end of this game you can load the second half of the games. Just press the play key on your tape recorder, the computer will do the rest! SECTION 2 ========= Crasher ------- A stock car racers delight! Crash into more than one hundred cars and you will get £20 per car added to your cash. Use the "A" key to move your car up the screen or the "Z" key to move down the screen or use a PROTEK joystick Bang on! Bomber ------ Can you clear a space to land your aeroplane by bombing the buildings? Press "B" to release your bombs. Ad-venture ---------- Can you get the gold, fight the monsters and leave the maze a rich man? Beware, all the gold is guarded, so arm yourself. You can only carry four items, and if you come across an item you already have, press "L" to leave it; you don't want too much of one thing. Move your man using the arrow keys, 5 to 8, or a PROTEK joystick. There is an exit fee to leave the maze, so don't lose all your cash and gold.
