 PROGRAM LOADING INSTRUCTIONS

 1. Ensure that the tape is wound to the beginning
    of the cassette and that you have the correct
    side of the tape uppermost in the cassette
    recorder.

 2. Connect the ear socket of your Spectrum to the
    ear socket of your cassette recorder utilising
    either the grey or black set of leads as supplied.

 3. Set an initial volume on your recorder, say 3/4 of
    maximum to start with

 4. If you have treble or bass controls on your
    cassette recorder set the treble to maximum
    and the bass to minimum.

 5. Type LOAD""

 6. Press ENTER

 7. Press PLAY on the cassette recorder.

 8. The program when loaded will run itself and
    provide full instructions. Should the program
    not load correctly please set a different volume
    level on your cassette recorder and try again
    after having reset your Spectrum.
 
 N.B. If you are unfamiliar with your Spectrum and
      do not know what the correct loading
      sequence looks like on your TV set please
      refer to your Spectrum Manual chapter 20.

 PLAYING INSTRUCTIONS

 Arcturus is a 3D, 2 player game (man v man) or (man 
 v machine) or (machine v machine) A 4 x 4 x 4 Cube
 game in which you must get 4 in line to win.
 A = Audio (sound effects on/off)
 C = Clock (switches clock on/off)
 E = Evaluation (thought display)
 H = Help (Suggests your next move)
 I = Instructions (Saga & Rules)
 L = Load a saved game from tape
 M = Mode (attack/neutral/defence)
 N = New game commencement
 P = Printer dump of moves/evaluations
 Q = Quit game, as in resign
 R = Replay of last game
 B = go back one move
 Q = In sub menu returns to main menu
 F = Forward one move
 S = Skill Level 0=easy 9=hard
 T = Tape last played game
 V = Versus. Player v Arcturus. Arcturus v Player.
 Arcturus v Arcturus. Player v Player.
 Y =Time Setting (Sec/mov. MIN/game)
 Z = Time limit (l-99 s/m 1-10m/g)
 s/m = Sec per move m/g = mins per game.
