S.A.S: OPERATION THUNDERFLASH!!

Rock Hardman is the leader of a crack team of SAS 

Stormtroops. His mission is to spearhead an attack on a 

foreign embassy, rescuing hostages who have been seized 

by an extreme and vicious group of terrorists led by the 

notorious Kred. It is Rock's toughest assignment yet!



Each room is a challenge, each terrorist a threat and 

each footstep an obstacle to overcome. Only cunning, 

skill, determination and force will succeed in conquering 

these symbols of subversion.



Be warned though, this game is no push-over. You will 

have to be quick on turn and deadly accurate when 

confronted by your opponents. You will find your game 

playing abilities stretched to the limit and every ounce 

of skill will be needed. You will have to be as tough as 

the everyday SAS man  Can you handle the pace?... Time 

will tell!!



GETTING STARTED

1 Before switching on the Spectrum, connect the joystick 

if it is to be used.

2 Put the tape into the cassette recorder and rewind to 

the beginning.

3 Check that the EAR lead is correctly connected and that 

the volume level of the cassette recorder is set 

correctly.

4 Type LOAD "" (do not leave any spaces between the 

quotes) and press ENTER.

5 Press PLAY on the cassette recorder.

6 When the program has finished loading press STOP on the 

cassette recorder.

7 If the program does not load successfully, try 

adjusting the volume and tone control settings of the 

cassette recorder, and repeat the above from step 2.



If the problem persists,  refer to Chapter 6 of the 

Spectrum Manual.

THE GAME

Your Mission:-

To single-handedly infiltrate a foreign embassy held by 

terrorist guerrillas, to find and rescue 5 hostages and 

eliminate all enemy forces. SHOOT TO KILL.



Briefing:-

The embassy comprises about 50 rooms on 3 levels. You 

will enter the building through a window at the back, and 

proceed to search for the hostages. They may be held 

anywhere in the embassy, on the ground floor, upstairs or 

in the cellar. Lifts are used to move between levels. 

Once you have found and released all hostages and 

eliminated all terrorists, you must exit by the main 

doors at the front of the building.



You are equipped with an armour piercing, high velocity 

weapon designed to eradicate subversives effectively and 

cleanly. Do not allow any targets to survive.



You are limited in time; for each footstep you take you 

lose points from your score  points are gained by 

shooting terrorists and releasing hostages. Your score 

starts at 100, be careful to allow yourself enough steps 

to escape.
