TIMEBOMB

Can you diffuse all six timebombs without
being blown sky-high?
Will the countdown timer reach zero?
Will you tread on a deadly skull and cross
bones or will those boots which are busily
moving around the squares stomp on you
and squash you flat?
Use your skill and quick reactions to diffuse
all the bombs and move onto the next

INSTRUCTIONS

When the program has loaded select to use
Kempston joystick or Keyboard, and a skill
level between one and five. Joysticks using
cursor keys may be used by selecting the
Keyboard option.
The object of the game is to guide Cedric to
the bombs before the time runs out. On his
way to the bombs he can only move on blue
squares and must avoid the skulls and boots.
You can only step on a blue square once on
any screen then it disappears. Flags are
worth bonus points. On reaching the bomb
you score ten times the time remaining on
the countdown. The game also features a
scroll facility enabling you to scroll left or
right without erasing any blue squares.
Simply hold down a scroll key and either
left or right key.
You start the game with 3 lives, the speed of
the game is set by the skill level. The bomb
times always start at 30 and if it reaches zero
you will lose a life. On the first screen there
are no boots, on the second screen one, and
so on up to 4 boots. The boots will step on
you and kill you so avoid them.
To move onto the next screen you must
diffuse 6 bombs, the number of bombs
diffused is displayed at the top of the
screen.

HIGH SCORE TABLE

If you reach one of the top high scores you
will be asked to enter your name in the
high score table. A marker indicates which
letter is ready to be entered. Use the up and
down commands to increase or decrease the
letter, and the left and right commands to
move the marker. When the correct name
has been entered move the marker off to the
right of the last letter.
You then have the choice of sending a copy
of the table to a printer, or returning the
game to the selection page.
