LOADING

To load Bubble Buster type LOAD "" and press ENTER. Then start the
tape. (The Spectrum manual gives step-by-step loading instructions).

PLAYING

Bubble Buster can be played using either the keyboard (press K)
or a joystick (press J).

The keyboard uses the following control keys:

LEFT: A or J
RIGHT: D or L
FIRE: SPACE or CAPS SHIFT

The joystick is the right-hand one on ZX Interface II and uses the
control keys:

6 to move left, 7 to move right, and 0 to fire.

(Any joystick with a 9-way D plug can be used with the ZX
Interface II)

SCORING

Pressing the FIRE button shoots a zig-zag ray into the air. If a
bubble touches this ray before it disappears the bubble splits in
half. Each bubble splits in half three times before the zig-zag ray
starts to burst them. You only score points when you burst the
smallest bubbles.

Each burst scores 10 points.

STAGES

The first three stages have an increasing number of bubbles in them.

The fourth stage is a bonus stage during which you cannot be harmed by
the bubbles. A clock counts down from 10,000 to 0 and you may score as
many points as possible during this period.

After this stage the cycle repeats - but the bubbles start moving
faster.
