Zenobi Software ADVENTURES

ZEN

Spectrum 48K/128K+2

THE STORY SO FAR ...

Over the years you have embarked on many an adventure - even managing to
complete most of the ones you took on - so it was only natural that your
so-called 'fame' would spread beyond the confines of the small hamlet you
presently live in. After all everybody likes a 'hero' and you were one of those,
or at least you were in the eyes of your loved-ones.

So it was that your fame and enterprise reached the ears of the world famous
magician known and loved throughout the entire universe. This magician, who
answers to the name of ZEN, thought that it was about time that YOU faced a
rather more severe challenge than the ones you had been undertaking and with
this in mind he contacted you and offered you the chance for 'riches' and
'glory' beyond your wildest dreams.

"It is a simple enough task," he said and you just knew that that was a slight
exaggeration on the 'truth' and that maybe things would not be quite that easy.
But you were never one to shirk a task and so it was that you decided to accept
his offer and pit your wits against the mightiest tasks that ZEN could dream up.

NOTES

The object of the quest is to locate the fabled 'Golden Key' and then to use
this key to open the gates to untold treasure and wealth - the only clue their
whereabouts being that they were somewhere off to the North and situated in the
infamous 'Playing and Dying' area. It was enough to send cold shivers up and
down your spine - not to mention raising one or two small hairs on the back of
your neck.

The game will recognise all the standard commands such as EXAMINE, LOOK, and
HELP and some more obscure ones such as HANG, CAREFULLY, POINT and SWING. Always
use the standard SAVE and LOAD in order to store a permanent record of your
progress. However you may use the commands RAMSAVE and RAMLOAD to provide a
temporary record while playing the game.

HINTS

Just LOOK IN COTTAGE CAREFULLY when it comes time locate the item that could
cause your 'downfall'. Also let the water carry the weight and then you can swim
quite easily ...
