|The program will auto run and display the snooker table with title block below              |
|Press SPACE to set up balls for start of game & zero Scoreboard. The white is               |
|placed in the "D" next to the green hut may be moved by the Cursor keys CAPS                |
|SHIFT 5, 6, 7, & 8 to another position in the "0" to break off or to any position on        |
|the table to set up practise shots The black line from the white shows the                  |
|direction of travel and can be rotated clockwise by keys 7 or 8 and anti-                   |
|clockwise by keys 5 & 6 Keys 6 & 7 give a faster rotation for initial setting Cue           |
|strength is selected and white set in motion by keys A to Z Key A gives minimum             |
|strength. Key Z maximum Scoring is fully automatic and follows the normal                   |
|rules of Snooker except that there is no touching ball or free ball rule                    |
|Scoreboard shows totals for each player, total for current break, score for last            |
|shot, player in play and ball on Symbol Shift N clears the table ready for a new            |
|game.                                                                                       |

|wild as you walk out of the tunnel, "it's now or never!" You can either play the Computer or|

The program should be Ioaded using LOAD "" as a direct command.                              |

|THE GAME                                                                                    |
|The object is to win as many Gold Medals as possible                                        |
|Program 1 contains the first 8 events, these take place in the Stadium. They                |
|include 100m, 200m, Javelin, 110m Hurdles, Long Jump, 400m, Shot Put,                       |
|800m and Discus.                                                                            |
|                                                                                            |
|Program 2 contains the six events held outside the Stadium, being Cycling,                  |
|Swimming, Canoeing, Rowing, Yachting and the famous Marathon which is run                   |
|in 5 sections.                                                                              |
|                                                                                            |
|The Gold medals won by the 4 teams in the Stadium on Side One are added to                  |
|those won in the events outside the Stadium on Side Two.                                    |
|                                                                                            |
|The computer holds tour teams, (G.B., U.S.A., U.S.S.R. and Rest of the World)               |
|but these can be customised to you own requirements.                                        |
|                                                                                            |
|You control the team listed first (in the standard case, G.B.) which competes               |
|against the other three teams, controlled by the computer                                   |
|                                                                                            |
|In many of the events the members of the players team will have only a limited              |
|quota of energy. It will take both great skill and judgement to time your attack,           |
|perhaps electing for an early lead or else saving the energy for a sprint at the            |
|finish.                                                                                     |

|CONTROLS: All the control keys are prompted by the computer.                                |

|The St. Andrews Old Course golf program from Artic Computing is a completely                |
|accurate reproduction of the famous St. Andrew's course. The program caters for all         |
|handicaps, from novice to expert and is simplicity itself to play. You will be prompted for |
|club, strength, and angle etc. and then the computer faithfully reproduces your shot. Holes |
|in one are possible, but it's a great challenge even to achieve par!                        |
|                                                                                            |
|When in use, it is sometimes necessary to press ENTER but more often than not simply        |
|typing your requirement will be sufficient. Type 'C' when prompted for the hole number and  |
|you will be shown your card-to-date, answer '00' and you will end the game, again showing   |
|you the scores. Typing H when prompted for club type will produce a list of clubs and their |
|ranges.                                                                                     |

|To load type LOAD ""  as a direct command. Once loaded Derby Day will Auto run.             |
|If you break into the program and stop it, use GOTO 1 as a direct command to re-run.        |
|                                                                                            |
|THE GAME                                                                                    |
|                                                                                            |
|There are 7 races in a meeting and you must try to win as much as possible from "honest     |
|Clive Spectrum" the bookmaker as you can. Up to five players can play at a time and they    |
|can bet on whatever horse they wish. For instance, all five players betting on horse 1 is   |
|allowable.                                                                                  |
|                                                                                            |
|If a player changes his mind while gambling is still taking place, he can change his wager  |
|even though his original bet is registered with honest Clive. His new bet is entered in the |
|usual way and the last wager is counted as void. Placing a bet is prompted on screen by     |
|"honest Clive", while pressing key 9 ends the gambling and starts the race  In this way a   |
|player need not bet on a race, as pressing key nine begins the race even is no one has      |
|gambled.                                                                                    |
|                                                                                            |
|The final stretch of the race is in slow motion & after a horse has reached the winning post|
|there is a photo for places. The horse coming in second receives a quarter of his quoted    |
|odds.                                                                                       |
|                                                                                            |
|The "pence" option and gambling options 3 & 4 are to allow a member of the family to        |
|become "honest Clive"'s partner and make an actual book on which the family can gamble      |
|for pennies.                                                                                |
