LEAGUE CHALLENGE (Side 1)

GAME: Select your team from one of the 64 teams

listed. (You can, if you wish, change your team name.)

Whichever team you select, you will begin the game

at the bottom of Division 4.

There are 15 league matches to be played in each

division together with 'knock-out' cup matches. Train

your team. The more intense the training, the more

chance you stand of winning, but the more expensive

the training becomes.

Change your team to combat the strengths of your

opponents. Select your defenders (D), mid-field (M)

and attackers (A) on the basis of their skill (S) and

fitness (F). In your team, a player is either playing (P),

injured (I) or available for play (-). Remember that

players need to be rested occasionally to improve

their fitness. Skill cannot be increased. If a player is

not good enough for your team, he can be sold on the

transfer market. You can have up to 15 players in

your squad at any time. At the end of each match, you

will be shown the results of other matches played that

day, together with a league table showing your

position, games won, drawn and lost, goals for and

against, and points earned. Your financial position

will show your total income and expenditure for the

week together with a running total of your capital.

You are allowed to go into debt to a maximum of

£250,000. Over this, you are bankrupt and must start

the game again at the bottom of Division 4.

At the end of each season the top 3 teams are

promoted to the next division and the bottom 3 teams

are relegated. You keep the same team for the start of

                                          Continued

(instr back)

the following season, but the player's skill and fitness

levels will be changed.

Can you win the double? Can you take your team to

the top of Division One? Will you be voted "Manager

of the Year"? Or will the crowd jeer as your team is

relegated yet again?

GOOD LUCK, YOU WILL NEED IT.

BATTLEFIELD: (Side 1)

CONTROLS: Left Hand Keyboard.

O = Up, K = Down, N = Left, M = Right, 0 = Fire.

Right Hand Keyboard

Q = Up, A = Down, Z = Left, X = Right, 1 = Fire OR use

Sinclair or Kempston Joysticks.

GAME: Furious battles ensue as you try to outwit your

opponent in this two player, tank versus tank, battle

simulation. Cunning, fast reactions and accurate

shooting are all needed if you want to blast your

opponent out of the game - Joysticks in? Zone

selected? Let battle commence!

SURVIVORS: (Side 2)

CONTROLS: O = Left, P = Right, Q = Up, A = Down. 1,

2 & 3 to Access Droids, 4 & 5 together to start new life,

BREAK and CAPS together to start new game, ENTER

to pause game.

GAME: Your mission is to rescue almost a thousand

survivors from a hibernation dome, damaged in the

recent nuclear war. To complete the task you must

guide three Droids through the 7 levels of the building

and teleport the survivors to safety.

Each of the Droids has a different function. Droid 1

can tunnel through tons of earth at high speed. Droid

2 is a very advanced Droid whose function is to

teleport the survivors to safety, and Droid 3 is a Droid

of immense strength, used for moving fallen boulders

(although even he can only move one at a time).

The damage to the dome is so severe that the

slightest mistake can result in a fall of boulders. If one

of your Droids is hit by a boulder, serious power loss will

result. Beware also the MK. 1 'Guardian' Droids, left in

the dome to maintain the life support systems. Their

circuits were damaged by the nuclear fall-out and they

are now hostile. Contact with one of these will also cause

serious loss of power. The only way to dispose of these

mutant Droids is to trap or crush them with a boulder.

Every move must be planned to ensure that your Droids

do not become trapped. Failure of your mission will

result in certain death for the SURVIVORS.

SUPERKID IN SPACE: (Side 2)

CONTROLS: Joystick or Keyboard are selected

automatically, just FIRE to begin. (See game

instructions.) Q = Jump or Climb ropes, A = Fire

Grenades, O = Left, P = Right, SPACE = Fire, ENTER to

throw Rope (Must be something solid above for rope to

catch on.) OR use JOYSTICK as normal plus ENTER key

to throw ropes.

MISSION: The world has been surrounded by alien

forces who have moved their planetships towards earth

in search of minerals and other riches. The world leaders

have been threatened with the total destruction of Planet

Earth if they show any resistance. There is only one hope

for mankind...Superkid.

Professor Ian Stein, Superkid's uncle and source of his

amazing powers of flight and super-human strength, has

developed special super-energy pills for use in the

deadly atmosphere of the alien planetships. These,

together with 4 high-power nuclear detonators and other

vital mission equipment, have been dropped onto each

of the planetships by 'stealth' rockets. Now Superkid

must collect the 4 nuclear detonators, return to his

spaceship and destroy each planetship in turn.

GAME: On starting the game, you will be presented with

the Hall of Fame. At this point you can change your

name from Tom Essex by pressing the 'A' key, then

typing in your name and pressing. ENTER. If you don't

do this, Tom Essex will be credited with your high score

on the Hall of Fame. Pressing the fire button or space

bar will now tell the computer how you intend to

control the game. The game will accept joystick

control if you press the fire button or keyboard control

if you press the space bar. When landing on each

mission, use the left and right controls to direct your

space ship onto the landing pad. Up will thrust your

ship upwards (the gravitational pull gets greater on

successive planetships) 500 points are given for a

good landing but 6 super-energy points are lost for a

bad landing. Along the bottom of the screen there are

a series of icons. From left to right these represent:

Energy, Ammunition, Grenades, Ropes, Detonators

and Score. Extra supplies of the first 4 can be found

on each planet ship. The 'detonators' icon shows the

number collected. When you have found 4

detonators, return to your ship to blow up the current

planet ship and move on to your next mission.

                                         Good Luck!
